​Ronald McDonald House at Stanford provides housing and a nurturing environment for families of children with life-threatening illnesses who are not able to receive specialized treatment at their local hospital.  These families travel to the Bay Area from throughout the United States and foreign countries so their child can receive medical care at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. Away from home and familiar surroundings, these families experience additional challenges to an already taxing situation. The House not only provides a warm living environment for little or no cost to these families, they also offer programs for parents and siblings so that each family member feels supported and cared for.
