Sarah Chan
Sarah began her dance training in classical ballet, pointe, and classical modern at the age of 3. She studied at Eastern Connecticut Ballet under Gloria Govrin, a former New York City Ballet soloist, and Libby Nye, a former Jose Limon dancer. She performed lead roles in multiple ballets here, including The Nutcracker, Interplay, Balanchine’s Raymonda Variations, and Tarantella. Sarah also participated in ABT and Atlanta Ballet Summer Intensive Programs.
She graduated from Ohio State University with a B.S. in Human Nutrition and a minor in Dance, and she is now also a Registered Dietitian. During her time at OSU, Sarah danced and choreographed for Dance Connection, a student-led organization, and also performed in various Dance department shows. Upon graduation, Sarah joined Columbus Modern Dance Company and had the pleasure of performing with them and teaching their open adult ballet class. Sarah has 3 years of dance teaching experience to students ages 6 to 18+ and is excited to bring her knowledge and passion to Montage Dance Productions.
