Studio Showcase

General 

 

  • How do I buy tickets?

You can purchase tickets here.

  • I purchased tickets. Where do I pick them up?

You can either pick up your purchased tickets at the studio before the show once they're available (we'll email an announcement) or pick them up at will call on the day of the show. Tickets will not be shipped.

  • Where is the show?

  • When will the doors open at the Showcase?

Typically 15 minutes before showtime, but doors may open up to 30 minutes beforehand. Seating is general admission.

  • How long does the show run?

You can expect the show to run for 2 - 2.5 hours.

  • Can I take photos or video during the show?

No, professional photos or video will be allowed during the show. Professional photos will be available for free (a link will be emailed when they’re ready). You may purchase your child's performance videos.

 

  • Will June tuition be prorated?

No, the monthly fee is the same. The tuition goes towards the classes as well as costs associated with the Showcase. Students that will not be performing in the showcase may consider ending enrollment starting June. An email reminder to those not participating will be sent out closer to the date. 

Youth Program

  • Who provides the shoes?

You are responsible for providing your child's shoes.

  • Does my child need to wear a mask?

Masks are optional this year, but should be skin tone. If it's for hip hop, it can also be black. ​

  • How do I pick my child's costume size?

You won't need to pick your child's costume size. Montage Staff will measure your child in class and will select the appropriate size.

  • Where are my child's accessories?

Montage Staff will hold onto your child's accessories until the day of the show. On the day of the show, Montage Staff will put on your child's accessories backstage and they will take them home afterwards. We do this because if one dancer forgets their accessories then all the dancers will not be able to wear them.

  • When do I get my child's costume?

It depends on the class. Your child's costume will be handed out in class towards mid - end of May. 

  • Which show is my child in?

If your child is in a youth class, you can view your child's showtime by clicking HERE.

If your student is a soloist or on a team, you can view your child's showtime by clicking HERE.

  • My child is in an adult class. Which show is my child in?

If your child is in an adult class, you can view their showtime by clicking HERE.

  • When is Picture Day?

Picture day will be held in class. Please check the specific date of your dancer's picture day HERE.

  • What do I need to know about Picture Day?

Your child needs to arrive ready in their costume, with hair and makeup done. You will be able to purchase the photos online.

  • What kind of makeup should my child wear for Picture Day and the Showcase?

Children ages 6 and under: Whatever you're comfortable with, that is okay with us. At minimum, we recommend a pink or nude blush, but we also suggest a pink or red lipstick, and mascara.

Children ages seven and up: natural eye shadow (brown tones), eyeliner, mascara, blush (pink or nude), and lipstick (pink or red).

  • My child is in more than 1 show, do I need to buy multiple sets of tickets?

Yes, you will need to buy tickets to all the shows you'd like to attend. You are not required to attend the shows.

  • Do I stay with my child during the tech rehearsal?

Parents are not allowed to stay with their children during the tech rehearsal or show. You will be dropping them off for their Call Time, and then picking them up after the show ends on stage.

  • When and where do I pick up my child during the show?

You will pick up your child at the end of the show, no exceptions. All of the children are also performing in the finale. Children will not be handed back to their parents before the end of the show so that they can perform in the finale and for safety reasons. When the show is over, the children will be picked up off the stage at the end of the show. Please follow the prompts given by the MC.

  • When is the last class of the season?

June 7th is the last day of classes for the 2023 - 24 season.

  • My child is in an adult class. What do they wear for their costume?

Please have your child ask their teacher during class for information about costumes.
